Origami Solar at RE+ 2022

The solar industry has advanced a lot over the past 20 years. Unfortunately, advances in the module frame have not followed suit. The Origami Solar team saw this market need and developed an innovative and patent-pending steel module frame that has has gained significant market traction since winning the DOE American-Made Solar Challenge in 2022.

Our team has been working hard to engineer a stronger and more functional frame that delivers superior value and significantly lower the environmental impact of PV modules. Our design work and comprehensive testing has validated the superior strength of steel, industry leading corrosion protection and recycled steel that lowers GHG emissions by ~90%. And with domestic production we can do all that and create manufacturing jobs here at home.

Customers and partners have responded positively to the stronger, lower-cost frame that can be manufactured domestically. Our rapidly accelerating market traction and recent funding mean that we are quickly ramping up our team to support our growth.
